Abandon Apartment from 1942

Browsing the web today I stumbled on an article about a French women, who in 1942 fled her Paris apartment for the South of France during World War Two. She kept the apartment in hopes to return to it one day but, never did. The apartment sat unopened and untouched all these years until it’s contents were recently auctioned off. The photos did a serious pull on my nostalgia strings and I couldn’t help but share the article. It slightly disappoints me that the apartment was emptied and the contents all sold at auction. A rare piece of 1942 frozen in time. Now gone.
